A dreamy lunch spot in Paris…
Up on the hillside neighborhood of Montmartre, and hidden behind rustic, heavy iron gates, lies one of the dreamiest settings in all of Paris. Hôtel Particulier is a privately owned historic home that has been transformed into a boutique hotel. Staying here feels like being transported back in time. There are five luxury suites, one with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The cozy and stylish onsite restaurant feels like it’s from another era.
One great thing about this restaurant is you don’t need to be staying at the hotel to dine here or have a drink at the bar. Step through the red curtains from the back patio into a world of lush fabrics, black and white floor tiles and velvet barstools. One of my favorite little indulgences when I’m staying in this area is to come here and sit at the bar for lunch and a glass of wine.
The servers and bartenders are always up for chatting with guests about food, wine or travels. The food is exceptional and the wine list has everything you could ever want.
During the warmer months you can have lunch outside on the terrace. If you’re lucky you might see the mansion’s cutest resident meandering around, that would be the owner’s adorable little terrier, Alfred.
Downstairs there is a separate cocktail bar called Très Particulier, where you can find DJ’s playing dance music for a younger crowd on the weekends; and on Wednesdays they have live piano music. You don’t need a reservation for the cocktail bar, it’s open seating every day 6PM to 2AM. When you arrive at the gates ring the bell to be let inside. Add Hôtel Particulier to your Paris travel plans for an unforgettable experience.
